Re-Entry Permit

If you hold a Thai visa and plan to leave and return before it expires, you’ll need a Re-Entry Permit. Without it, your visa will be canceled upon exiting Thailand.

What Is a Re-Entry Permit?

A Thailand Re-Entry Permit allows you to leave and return to Thailand on the same visa.

Important Notes:

  • It’s not a new visa or extension.

  • Does not extend visa validity.

  • If your visa expires while abroad, you cannot re-enter Thailand, even with a permit.

Types of Re-Entry Permits

  1. Single Re-Entry Permit – Allows one re-entry; a new permit is needed for subsequent exits.

  2. Multiple Re-Entry Permit – Allows multiple entries throughout your visa's duration.

  • Single-Entry Thai Tourist Visa

  • 90-Day Non-Immigrant Visa

  • Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa

  • Thai Retirement Visa (5-year OX)

  • Thai Business Visa
